Another attempt to crack on with this piece...using a pretty, flowery serviette to collage over a few areas of the piece that I was unhappy with. Now I love these bits; the leaves/foliage from the design complement the green theme of the piece and provide added interest.
Today was my first proper trip out to the shops in several months. I had to get Father's Day cards and gifts and there were a few other items that R needed. We attempted to get everything in one shop (The Range) but this wasn't possible so I then had to nip into M&S Food on my own. I managed to get what I needed and avoided touching anything unnecessarily. It was a successful trip and social distancing was mostly adhered to by those in the shops, although it wasn't as easy in the busier aisles of M&S. The Range provided hand sanitiser on the way in and I requested some on my exit as well. I felt it wasn't as terrible as we had imagined it to be but I am definitely not about to become a regular shopper like I was pre-Covid.
Today is my friend T's birthday so I popped a card through her door. She did come out to see me and our brief chat was lovely. It was the first time I'd had to properly change my social behaviour as I've not seen any friends or family since the start of lockdown. It was hard not to do the hugs that would usually occur, more through habit than anything else, but we kept our distance for the doorstep meeting so it was fine! T has also very kindly agreed to sew me and my family some face masks because we don't yet have any. Such a kind gesture and I'm very grateful. I can't wait to see her handiwork!
Yoga for today was 'Day 17 - Synchronise', 'Grounding Practice', 'Yoga Rinse' and 'Bedtime Yoga'.
