Day 2 - Painting #20 (29/05/20)

Lucy

I spent a large chunk of today doing my new piece of art, #20. I decided to do three large sections in acrylic paint and one smaller one. The two remaining large sections will be done in collage, although I don't yet know what paper will be used for this. I painted a green section, followed by blue, yellow and then finally red. The children think this is really cool. I have enjoyed doing it actually because painting is quite straightforward and swift compared to the more laboured work of collaging.

I started the day with a 'Stretch and Soothe Yoga' which helped to get me going but I was really looking forward to some fresh air this evening. There was a little misunderstanding about this within the family so I was quite relieved when I took the decision to brave going out after tea, despite being tired and achy. I had hoped to go out before tea but with the temperatures so high again, it was probably the right decision to go out later. I changed out of my shorts into leggings but was shocked to find that even at 7pm the sun was still really hot! Myself, R and the kids played football and had a great time. The park was empty when we arrived apart from a small group sat to one side. Later a dog walker arrived as well. It was lovely. I wish I'd kept my shorts on because my legs are still very white!! Sunbathing is not something I have been doing in lockdown and now I hear that the weather is set to change drastically next week, with a drop of around 10 degrees!
